ASB News

 

Attention 8th graders: 

Knott’s Berry Farm tickets are now on sale!  The cost is $35 cash and you must have a signed permission slip.

 

The 8th grade dance will be held on Friday, May 11th from 6pm to 8pm.  Tickets are now on sale during both lunches.  Tickets are $13 and remember…it’s semi-formal, so Dress to Impress!  School dress code will apply.  Buy your ticket before May 4th.

 

Also, 8th grade Class of 2012 T-shirts are now on sale in the ASB office! See your Social Studies teachers for order forms! Time is running out! Sales end April 20th! Don't miss out! All orders are cash only.

 

PE News

 

Presidential Fitness Award winners can get a free ticket to the Mavericks baseball game which will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 7:05 p.m.  Additional tickets are $6 in the ABS office (cash only).  There will be fireworks after the game!  Come join in on the fun!

 

Congratulations

 

The Cedar Middle School Wrestling team completed an undefeated season and captured its fourth HDAL championship in a row at the HDAL Wrestling Finals held at Oak Hills High School on December 10th. Congratulations Spartans! 

 

Yearbook News

 

Attention Parents and Students: Yearbook prices are currently $40 with ASB, $45 without. Order forms are available in the front office or you can make your purchase online with a credit card at www.jostensyearbooks.com

 

Parent Pick Up Policy

 

Attention Parents: Starting this school year you will no longer be allowed to sign your child out after 3:00 PM. All parent pickups in the front office need to be done prior to 3:00 PM cut off. If you are unable to make it to the main office prior to 3:00 PM we ask that you wait for your child to be released at 3:18 PM.  

 

Open Gym

 

There will be Open Gym Volleyball every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15 am to 8:15 am.  The entry fee is $1.00 and both 7th and 8th grade girls are welcome to attend.

 

There will be Open Gym Basketball every Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.  The entry fee is $1.00 and you must be dressed in appropriate gym attire to participate. Boys and girls are welcome to attend.

 

There will be Open Gym Soccer every Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.  Gym Soccer is free and will be open to both boys and girls.

 

 

New CMS Hats

 

Attention Spartans: Starting this year students will only be allowed to wear CMS hats at school. The following hat will be sold in our student store for $20. 

 

 

 

Power School

 

Attention Parents: Power School is up and running. If

you have not received your login information please contact the counseling office at 244-6093 (x3322 for 7th grade and x3302 for 8th grade).

 

Athletics

 

Students that would like to participate in Spartan Athletics will need to complete an Activity Card. Activity Cards are available in the front office.

 

The following sports are available to all Cedar Spartans: Cross Country (boys and girls), Wrestling (boys and girls), Volleyball (girls), Basketball (boys and girls), Track and Field (boys and girls) and Soccer (boys and girls).

 

P.E. Uniforms

 

P.E. uniforms are currently available for purchase at the Student Store.  Shirt and shorts are $20 for the set or $10 for each individual piece.  Sweat suits are $25 for the set or $15 for each individual piece.  Cash only. (All items are in adult sizes.)
