Welcome to Lime Street
Our MissionThe Lime Street Elementary School community is dedicated to the success of all students by creating an environment committed to promoting a life-long love of learning.
School ProfileNamed as a California Distinguished School in 2004, Lime Street Elementary School is twenty years-old. The school is located on the east side of Hesperia, surrounded by a residential neighborhood. The school is comprised of a permanent structure and twenty-four portables. Lime Street is a K-5 school, with 38 teachers, 12 instructional assistants, and 20 other wonderful classified staff members. All of these employees help comprise an outstanding faculty. In the last eight years, Lime Street has been a part of several cutting-edge projects, stemming from our commitment to provide the highest quality of education for our students. The initiation of research-supported projects, involvement in state leadership opportunities, and active participation in professional growth have all played a part in our setting and keeping the standard of excellence in education, whatever it takes. We will have the opportunity to showcase the musical talents of our students this year, as we have extended our M.I.N.D. Institute/keyboarding to fourth grade. This means that all students in grades 1-4 are participating in keyboarding lessons on a weekly basis. In addition, our new band/strings teacher is offering to teach choir to our 4th and 5th grade students. That is very new and exciting! Lime Street Bears follow these three rules: BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE
